Suppose I were left alone on a desert island,what would I do?: もし、私が無人島に取り残されたらどうしよう。

To hear him speak, you would take him for a girl.

彼が話すのを聞いたなら、あなたは　彼を　少女だと思うだろう。

Born in better times,he would have become rich.

(if he had been born in better times

もし、彼がもっとよい時代に生まれていたなら、彼は金持ちになってただろう。

A Japanese would not react like that.: 日本人なら　そのような反応はしないだろうに。
Without water, nothing could live on this earth.: 水がなければ、何物もこの地球上には生きられないだろう。
With your help,I would have succeeded.: もし、あなたが援助してくれていたら、私は成功していただろうに。
He studied very hard, otherwise he might have failed the test.: 彼は大変熱心に勉強した。もしそうしなかったならば、彼は試験に落ちていたかもしれない

if only he would stop being suspicious.(=I wish he would stop ..): 彼が疑い深くなるのを止めてくれたらなぁ
One more effort, and he would have succeeded.( = if he had mode one more effort,...): もう一歩努力すれば　彼は成功しただろうに。
It is time you went to bed. ( It is time for you to go bed.): あなたは　もう寝る時間ですよ。
But for your help, I would have failed.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　( = If it had not been for your help, ..): あなたの助けがなければ　私は　失敗していただろう。
